My Review: 5/5
Just like this book’s predecessor (The Silver Swan), Broken Puppet blew me AWAY!! It picks up right where The Silver Swan leaves us, so I would not recommend reading this without reading Swan first. In fact, there were many times when I wish I had re-read Swan before reading this one. The author did a pretty good job of filling in any gaps, but it still would have helped me.
As I mentioned, Broken continues the story where the cliffhanger left us. I’m not giving away any of the plot, except Madison is back along with Bishop, Nate, and all of the other Kings. More of her past is uncovered as she just learned she is The Silver Swan. The book is very fast -paced and every page just screams out at you with emotion. The confusion Madison feels, as well as the hate, uncertainty, and love are emotions I also felt. I couldn’t read it fast enough as I raced through to see what secrets she would uncover next.
The characters are so strong, even the minor ones. And, even though Bishop is SO BAD, I love him so much. His actions and emotions are all over the place, I never knew if he was going to love on Madison or kill her. That is part of what made the book so exciting…it is so unpredictable.
This is by far one of my favorite series. It is so dark, but so good!! I know there is another book after this one. Somewhere, somehow, I am going to have to find some patience as I wait for it to come out.
Ooh, this sounds intriguing. I LOVE the cover!
